Before owning our own home, my husband and I moved 8 times. It wasn’t easy having 3 girls and moving from place to place. When it came time to sell our first house, we put it on the market with a sub-par agent and over 6 months it did not sell. We had to rent it out for three years before finding the right agent.

We didn’t see the value of a good real estate agent because we only worked with poor agents who didn’t give any advice, didn’t do open houses, or provide us with their insight on the market. We didn’t know that was the service we were paying for until we met our first superstar agent. We met her at our friend’s open house and we were blown away – She was different. It was obvious that the service she was providing was at a much higher level and we decided to list our home with her. She took our listing and we were under contract that week! The difference was that our superstar agent was always answering our phone calls and emails at any time of day or night and we assumed that’s also how she treated her buying customers. You’d think she only had us as a client and it was part of the reason she became one of the top producers in our area; She showed me what a professional REALTOR® was.

Before becoming a Realtor, I worked in Asia for multinational companies like Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Booz. Allen & Hamilton. I was expected to work overtime constantly and even on weekends – That was the norm. Whenever I was too stressed out I would hang out with a friend who was a veterinarian – Playing with dogs just made me happy. I decided to become a vet myself and attended Rutgers University’s pre-veterinary program. It was at that time I created a successful company to manufacture and market small dog clothing. A few years later, when my husband started his own business, I sold my company to take care of our 3 girls. When my youngest finally started school, I decided to start my career as a Real Estate Agent.

Our family has been investing in real estate on Maui from the early 80s. Someone was always talking about investments and development at family gatherings. But it never occurred to me that I would one day become a real estate agent myself. Selling pet product was one thing – I knew how to manufacture and market my products. But selling real estate was different because it meant I had to do those things for other people. In addition, whether buying or selling real estate, it is a transaction that greatly affects people’s lives. It was because of this that I would research properties until the early morning to make sure that I was giving correct information to my clients. When I saw clients who were really happy with their new real estate purchase I found myself feeling proud as a true professional.

As a mother of three beautiful girls, I know how stressful a real estate transaction can be. I know how my service can affect people’s lives. I take pride in what I do and try my best to give my customers the best service I can provide. I answer my phone calls whether it is 6 am in the morning or past midnight. I do not turn off my phone on weekends. If I do not know the answer to your question, I will go out of my way to find it for you.

I am a full time licensed REALTOR® by profession and I am passionate about my job. Whether you are buying or selling your house, looking for a second home or want to visit periodically while receiving revenue from an investment property, or just need friendly advise, please give me a call. I can help you find your perfect piece of paradise here on Maui.
