You have never seen a Kapalua Ridge Villa like this, and you will never see another one… ever. That’s because this villa wasn’t just remodeled, it was re-built from the inside out to take full advantage of the one-of-a-kind view, make the best use of the available space, and actually create more space.
And the view truly is one of a kind. As you pass through the expanded entry, the view will take your breath away. Your eye is drawn from Molokai across the Pacific, past Honolua Bay to the stately Ritz Carlton, which might occasionally dazzle you with a fireworks show, and it overlooks the 18th fairway of the Kapalua Bay Course. You don’t have to look over roof tops or through trees, not even the beautiful Cook Pines that line the roads.
The view is possible because of the corner location and the brilliant re-design of this spectacular villa. The owners expanded the living room to the edge of the lanai and removed the impediments to your view, such as door frames and posts. The wall was replaced with expansive sliding windows that open from the ceiling almost to the floor. The windows can be retracted to the open air. So, nothing hinders your view or the full experience of the air and fragrance of Kapalua.
This rebuild took the property from a 1,756 square foot condo to a 2,415 square foot villa. It has all of the benefits and ease of ownership of a condominium, but it lives like a luxury home.
The flooring in the main living area is a travertine designed porcelain tile. The ceiling is 9 and one half feet tall for a luxurious spacious feeling. The dining area has been relocated and expanded to make it more spacious and accommodating to a host of family and friends for Thanksgiving or the Holidays. It is brightened up by custom track lighting that can be adjusted for any occasion.
The kitchen has been re-imagined and highly customized. The ceiling has been raised and fitted with recessed lighting for an open bright feel. Custom cabinetry topped with gorgeous marbled granite is beautiful and highly functional. The Sub-Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, ice maker, freezer and other spaces are all hidden from view, finished to match the cabinetry.
There is a modern glass cook top backed by an Italian glass backsplash. Your cook will also love the convection-microwave oven over the standard oven and warmer.
The main living area has been brilliantly placed where the lanai was previously located. This makes the living room larger and better suited for entertaining. The design of the windows and screen system allows you to open up the living room to feel like you're out on your lanai or close it, allowing you to manage the air flow when you wish.
The television is built into the cabinetry, so you can open it up and swivel the set around or completely close it and make the TV disappear. There is a built-in surround sound system all powered by Bose.
The new staircase that takes you to the master suite is truly a work of art. The handrail is handcrafted cherry wood and the curved stairs are maple. You ascend this amazing staircase to the master suite, which has its own spectacular view.
The master suite is huge. It comfortably accommodates a king size bed set. There is a large amount of built-in storage and shelving. There is brand new Berber type carpet. It also features a large elevated space with a cherry wood floor that could be used for yoga, an art studio, or anything you can imagine. It is currently serving as a home office with a view that any CEO would love to have.
The master bath is also quite spacious. There is a large open marble tile enclosed shower with multi-flow shower heads. It’s perfect for a warm massage-like cleansing experience after a hard day on the golf course or the beach. If you prefer, there is also a giant Jacuzzi tub with jets in all the right places.
There is an abundance of storage in the custom cabinets and large closets. Of course the custom interior includes two sinks, the most essential part of any master bathroom.
Heading back downstairs, you have a lovely and very private guest room. This guest room features a comfortable love seat that quickly disappears to reveal a queen size bed. It’s a Murphy bed in disguise.
The guest room has its own lanai and spacious bath room.
The villa comes with one covered parking spot as well as additional guest and second car parking. There is also additional storage.
